Google Keep’s web app has finally introduced text formatting—nearly two years after the feature debuted on Android. The update, now rolling out to personal Google accounts, Workspace users, and Workspace Individual subscribers, brings long-awaited styling options to the web version of Google’s note-taking service. However, it may take a few weeks for all users to see the changes.

The new formatting tools are accessible via an underlined “A” button in the bottom-left corner of the text editor. Clicking it reveals a toolbar with options to bold, italicizeunderline, or clear formatting, as well as convert text into H1 or H2 headings.

This upgrade should help web users organize notes more effectively, improving readability and quick reference. Additionally, formatted text should now sync properly between the web and Android versions, eliminating the need for manual re-editing across devices.

While Google Keep still lags behind rivals like Evernote in advanced features, this update narrows the gap, making it a more versatile option for quick, structured note-taking.
