Leaked Samsung Accessory Confirms Major Galaxy S26 Upgrade: Full Qi2 Magnetic Charging Support Is Coming

A newly leaked Samsung accessory strongly suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will finally support the Qi2 magnetic wireless charging standard, marking Samsung’s official entry into the ecosystem Apple pioneered with MagSafe back in 2020. Marketing images and specifications of an official Samsung magnetic power bank reveal clear signs of native Qi2 compatibility, indicating that Galaxy S26 will become the first Samsung flagship line to fully embrace magnetic wireless charging — a long-awaited upgrade for Android users.

As the official unveiling of the Galaxy S26 series draws closer, fresh leaks are shedding light on one of the most important upgrades coming to Samsung’s next-generation flagship phones. According to newly revealed accessory information, Samsung is finally preparing to adopt Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, a feature that Apple introduced with MagSafe nearly five years ago.

The leak originates from WinFuture, which shared marketing images and technical details of an upcoming official accessory reportedly named

Samsung EB-U2500 Magnetic Wireless Charging Powerbank. The design and specifications strongly suggest that the Galaxy S26 lineup will be Samsung’s first smartphones to support Qi2 natively.

Qi2 is the next evolution of the wireless charging standard, adding magnetic alignment for more efficient, stable, and faster charging. Its adoption would allow Samsung to build an ecosystem similar to Apple’s MagSafe, enabling accessories such as magnetic chargers, stands, and power banks to attach securely to the back of the phone.

According to the leaked information, Galaxy S26 devices may support wireless charging speeds of up to 15W, while wired charging could reach 20W. The magnetic power bank itself reportedly supports up to 25W output and features a 5,000 mAh battery capacity.

The accessory also includes a fold-out rear arm that can transform it into a desktop stand, allowing users to comfortably watch videos or take video calls while charging.

Pricing information suggests a recommended retail price of €59.90 in Germany, which converts to approximately $70, positioning the accessory firmly in Samsung’s premium accessories lineup.

If confirmed, this move represents a major strategic shift for Samsung. After years of partial or unofficial Qi2 compatibility through third-party cases, the Galaxy S26 would become the company’s first true Qi2-certified flagship — finally closing one of the most noticeable feature gaps between Samsung and Apple in wireless charging technology.
