Leaked Battery Details for Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max

As competition in the mid-range smartphone market increasingly shifts toward larger batteries and faster charging technologies, new leaks surrounding Poco’s upcoming devices have started to draw attention. According to the latest information, the battery capacities of the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max have surfaced ahead of their official launch, suggesting that Xiaomi is placing a strong emphasis on endurance in this generation. The leak indicates that Poco is not merely increasing battery size, but is aiming to combine high-capacity cells with fast-charging capabilities in the mid-range segment — a strategy that, until recently, was mostly reserved for flagship phones or China-exclusive models. If these specifications are finalized, the Poco X8 series could emerge as a compelling option for users who prioritize long battery life without stepping into premium pricing territory.

A recent leak has revealed the expected battery capacities for the upcoming Poco X8 Pro and its larger sibling, the Poco X8 Pro Max, suggesting that Xiaomi’s next mid-range pair could come with significantly larger cells than their predecessors. According to the leak, both phones are also expected to support 100W wired charging.

The Poco X8 Pro is tipped to pack a 6,500 mAh battery, a healthy capacity for a mid-range device and slightly larger than that of many current competitors. If true, this would align with earlier certification hints that pointed to a 6,500 mAh cell with support for 100W charging technology.

Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro Max is rumored to step up the battery size even further, potentially offering a massive 8,500 mAh battery — one of the largest ever seen in a Poco-branded phone. Despite not matching the 9,000 mAh figure rumored for some sibling models in other markets, this capacity would still be a standout specification and could deliver extended real-world stamina.

Both devices are expected to draw heavily on the hardware and design of Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo series, with the standard X8 Pro likely a global version of the Redmi Turbo 5, and the Pro Max similarly reflecting the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. In addition to large batteries, the phones may also feature large AMOLED displays with high refresh rates and modern mid-range chipsets.
