Xiaomi is reportedly preparing a major camera upgrade for its next-generation flagship smartphones, with the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series expected to receive significant improvements.
According to well-known tipster DSC, an upcoming Xiaomi device featuring a 6.3-inch display will launch with a dual 200MP camera setup. While the exact model name has not been confirmed, it is widely believed to be part of the Xiaomi 18 Pro lineup.
This would mark the first time Xiaomi brings its 200MP camera technology beyond the Ultra models, effectively narrowing the gap between the Pro and Ultra variants.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to retain a compact form factor while offering flagship-level imaging performance. Meanwhile, the 18 Pro Max could feature a larger display, higher-capacity battery, and variations in camera sensors.
Both Pro models are rumored to include a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and leaks also suggest the possible introduction of a rear secondary display, adding a unique design element.
Powering the devices will likely be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, while Ultra variants may receive enhanced or customized versions of the same processor.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series in September 2026, with some models potentially remaining exclusive to the Chinese market.
